I forget when this was taken but it reminds us of the earliest photos we took together when we were first dating.

Jamaica was our first real trip, circa 1996. Wouldn't recommend it.

Floating down the river

Beth, the boys, and Brooklyn(!) took a lazy ride down the river in Leavenworth, north of where we live outside Seattle. Here, we stopped to build sand castles.

Mom after Dad

Days after we buried my father, the boys walked around Mom's retirement home, comforting her and holding her hand.

A nice place to live

They call this Cottage Lake and it's two miles from my home. It was a beautiful day so we took the kids there after school one day.
